Margaret Isabel "Margie" Tower

TOWER, Margaret Isabel “Margie” – 98, Folly Lake, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, May 12, 2018, at Debert Court, Debert. Born in Belmont, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Bessie (Donkin) Blair. Margie loved being with her family and friends and was happiest when everyone was together; she thoroughly enjoyed having a cup of tea and catching up on the latest gossip! She enjoyed playing cards, animals and picking blueberries. Margie is survived by her son, Robert (Brenda) Blair, Folly Lake; grandchildren, Kathy Blair (Brad MacLennan), Folly Lake; Rob (Crystal) Blair, Great Village; great grandchildren, Robert Blair, Aaron Crossman, Janine Blair, Brett Crossman, Claire Carroll, Paige Blair; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Cedric Blair Tower; sister, Doris (Harold) Weeks; brother, Kenneth Blair (Gladys MacLeod). Special thanks to the wonderful staff of Debert Court who she thought of as her extended family and for the comfort brought to her by Mabel the cat. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Margie’s family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, May 20, 2018. Private interment in Folly Mountain Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Margie’s memory to Colchester SPCA or Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia are welcomed.
