Lena Wile — Windsor

Wile, Lena Susan, 89, of Windsor, Hants County, passed away at home on Thursday, May, 11, 2017. Born on December 1, 1927 in Upper Vaughan, Hants County. She was a daughter of the late Perley and Mamie (Swinamer) Swinimer. She was a member of the Avonport Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her garden and watching hummingbirds. Lena enjoyed her visits from her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s visits. Lena was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are her daughters, Peggy Wells, Avonport; Shirley Wile, Windsor; sons, Michael (Harriet) Wile, Upper Vaughans; James “Jim” (Michelle) Wile, Lower Vaughans; William “Bill” (Tracy) Wile, Fort McMurray, Alberta; 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sons, Charles “Chuck”; Frank in infancy; brothers, Clifford, Lawson, Peter, Murray; sisters, Sarah, Anna, Jean, Joyce. Cremation has taken place under the care of the Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Box 2218, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0.
