Graham Lawrence Kirk
Funeral service for the late Graham Lawrence Kirk, 85, Glenelg, Guysborough County, was held July 3 in Kirk Memorial United Church, Aspen, with Debbie Stewart officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Glenelg.
Mr. Kirk died June 27, 2018, in High-Crest Sherbrooke Home for Special Care.
Born in Glenelg, he was a son of the late John and Margaret (MacDonald) Kirk. He was a blueberry grower and a pulp contractor who supported a dozen families in the community for more than 30 years. He loved people, animals, music, laughter, darts and bingo.
He is survived by his wife, Cecelia (Hines); four daughters, Heather (Ernie), Antigonish; Cindy, Calgary; Joni (Doug), Aspen; Colleen, Alberta; two sons, Stephen, Antigonish; Danny (Kalysa), Glenelg; 12 grandchildren, Kasey, Megan, Lisa, Chelsea, Dawson, Ashton, David, Kevin, Cindy, Allen, Norman, Samar, several great-grandchildren; four sisters, Elizabeth (Victor) Mason, Goshen; Genevieve (George) Gaudet; Hazel Harlow; Elvira Gerrior, all of Halifax; sister-in-law, Shirley Kirk, Bridgewater; many nieces, nephews and their families.
He was predeceased by brother, Howard Kirk.
Memorial donations may be made to the Glenelg Presbyterian Church, Kirk Memorial United Church, Aspen or High-Crest Sherbrooke Home for Special Care.
