Florence Beverly O'SHEA

Age 80 of Mount Uniacke, passed away September 21, 2018 at home. Born in Ingonish Beach, Cape Breton, she was a daughter of Thomas and Bridget (Dunphy) Shea. Bev was a devoted Catholic who loved her God and religion. In her early years she spent years in religious life with the Sisters of St. Martha. She always felt called to help in anyway she could in the church. Bev is survived by sisters, Sheila Marie (Bobby) Cameron, Jacqueline Elizabeth Doucette, Mary Eileen Watson, Lorraine Theresa "Bunny" (Gordon) Doucette, Mary Coralee (Keats Doucette, deceased); brothers, Thedore Thomas Desmond, John Clifford, James Reed, Michael Pearson, Kenneth Steven; many half-brothers and sisters; stepbrothers and stepsister. She was predeceased by brother, James Reed; special stepsister, Teresa "Terri" McKinnon whom she resided with for many years. Donations may be made to St. Francis of Assis Church. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. today, Tuesday, September 25th and funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 26th both in St. Francis of Assisi, Mount Uniacke.
