Carolyn R. DURANT

Age 72 of Parrsboro, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Parrsboro, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Nellie (Ogilvie) Read. Carolyn was a retired school teacher having taught 34 years, retiring in 2002. She is survived by sons, William "Bill" (Tanya), Robert "Robby" (Karen), all of Parrsboro; brothers, David, Parrsboro; Robert (Adrice), Beaver Bank; grandchildren, William "Will", Devon, Emma, Allison, Isaac; great-grandson, Holden; several nieces and nephews; as well, her former husband, Harold. She was predeceased by granddaughter, Chelsea. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 20th, in Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, September 21st, Pastor Henry Devito officiating.
