RAWDON, N.S. – The RCMP have charged three Hants County men with possession of stolen property during an ongoing joint investigation involving the East Hants District and Windsor District RCMP Detachments.
According to a press release, RCMP located police a stolen trailer on a property on Highway 14 in Rawdon Gold Mines on April 6.
With the assistance of a helicopter, provided by the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources (DNR), police also located a stolen truck at a second property located on Hwy 354 in Upper Rawdon.
Both locations were multi-acre properties, which contained multiple vehicles, vehicle parts and machine equipment.
With the assistance of RCMP Special Tactical Operations Search Team, police executed search warrants at both properties.
Over the course of three days, police recovered three stolen vehicles, two stolen trailers, stolen tools and a small quantity of drugs from the property on Highway 14 and six stolen vehicles, a stolen mini-excavator, a small quantity of drugs and computer equipment from the property on Highway 354.
A third search warrant was also executed at another location in Upper Rawdon resulting in another vehicle being seized.
Terrance Murray Murphy, 36, of Mount Uniacke, Danny Craig McCullough, 63, of Rawdon, and Graeme Creighton White, 26, of Rawdon, were arrested without incident on April 6 and have each been charged with one count of Possession of Stolen Property.
Murphy was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in Shubenacadie Provincial Court on June 4 at 9:30 a.m. McCullough and White remain in custody and are scheduled to appear in Shubenacadie Provincial Court on April 12, 2018.
RCMP said the investigation is ongoing between East Hants and Windsor District RCMP and additional charges are anticipated.
