One man in hospital, four people arrested after alleged Halifax waterfront assault

Police have arrested four men after a 54-year-old was found with serious facial injuries on the Halifax waterfront early Aug. 6.

Around 2:30 a.m., Halifax Regional Police officers responded to the boardwalk area closest to the 1600 block of Lower Water Street.

Officers found a 54-year-old man with serious facial, but non-life threatening injuries, and he was taken hospital according to a release.

Police said four men in their early twentys are believed to be involved in the assault and were arrested nearby.

The matter is still under investigation, and charges are expected.
