A convenience-store bandit made off with some lottery tickets in Clayton Park early Tuesday morning.

Halifax Regional Police are investigating after a man entered the Needs Convenience store at 70 Lacewood Dr., indicated he had a weapon and demanded money.

Police say the man took lottery tickets, and left the store on foot without showing a weapon and without anyone getting hurt.

The suspect is described as a Black man in his 30s, standing five-foot-six, weighing 160 pounds, with a slim build.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing black jeans and a dark hoodie covering his head.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
