Earlier story:

Halifax Regional Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a Dartmouth teenager who has been missing since July 2.

Jessica Richards, 17, was last seen leaving her home on Lawrence Street at 10 a.m. on July 1. She was reported missing the following day and hasn’t contacted friends or family since she left home.

There is no evidence to suggest Richards has met with foul play, but there are concerns for her safety.

Richards is described as Caucasion, five-foot-six, with a medium build and long brown hair that is shaved on both sides. She has two piercings on her lower lip and was last seen wearing a purple shirt over a green tank top, blue jeans, red sneakers and was carrying a zebra print purse.
