A 17-year-old has been charged with stunting after a traffic stop on Thursday night.

Around 9 p.m., Halifax Regional Police clocked a Honda Civic at 120 km/h in a 50 km/h zone along the Bedford Highway near Oakmount Drive.

The car was eventually stopped in the 1600 block of the Bedford Highway. The 17-year-old driver was given a ticket for stunting, had his vehicle impounded and had his license suspended for seven days.
