Wet weather has dampered the  the fire weather index.

The current ratings for western Nova Scotia counties are low to moderate fire conditions, with a small portion of the South Shore still has a high rating.

The index is updated each afternoon.

Camp and brush fires are not allowed after 8 a.m. during wildfire season. Check the BurnSafe map at 2 p.m. daily for where and when fires are allowed.
