The Windsor Fire Department was called in to investigate the odour at the Albert Street location June 8 at 12:16 pm.

“Upon arrival, we had crews make entry and do an investigation – check the ceiling, check the multiple rooms. We found nothing visible; nothing too evident,” said Lieut. Andrew Steeves at the scene.

“There was definitely a smell. We believe it's been isolated to a computer.”

Steeves said whenever there's a smokey odour, people should call their local fire department to investigate just to be on the safe side.

“We used our thermal imaging camera as well as a gas monitor just to make sure what we were smelling wasn't hazardous to the individuals inside,” said Steeves.

“It's good to be called for this stuff just so we can make sure nobody else is in danger.”

The fire call was wrapped up by 1 p.m.
