Region of Queens appoints interim chief administrative officer

This will become effective when the current CAO leaves in early October.

Council also approved starting to advertise the position to find a candidate for the permanent appointment of CAO. The Region of Queens’ objective is to provide opportunity for career advancement to staff, while ensuring the region has a robust, transparent and competitive selection process for the next CAO, wrote spokesperson Heather Cook in a news bulletin.

Council will take the time to properly complete this hiring process and will strive to hire the best candidate for Queens. Both internal and external candidates will be considered.
