BROOKLYN, N.S. — A man decided to take more than just his pizza order at Shirley’s Pizza on Dec. 4, 2017.

According to the RCMP, around 8:43 p.m., a man entered the pizza shop on Highway 215, asked for a package of cigarettes, and then ordered food.

While the worker was preparing the food, the RCMP say the man took several cartons of cigarettes from behind the counter, and a quantity of cash from the register.

In a press release, the RCMP said that when the man realized the worker saw this, the suspect ran from the store and left the area in a dark coloured car, heading towards Windsor.

No one was hurt during the incident.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, clean-shaven, with a thin build, wearing a black coat, a black hat and heavy boots.

Windsor District RCMP is continuing its investigation into this matter and is asking the public for assistance.

Anyone who has information about this incident is asked to contact the RCMP at 800-803-RCMP (7267) or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
