MIDDLETON - Police are investigating an armed robbery at the NEEDS convenience store in Middleton that took place at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening, Nov. 7.

Annapolis District RCMP said a man entered a convenience store on Main Street and demanded the cash drawer. He had a screwdriver in his left hand, police said. The employee handed the money to the man, who then took it and ran from the store. There was another customer at the back of the store, but neither he nor the employee was hurt.

The RCMP conducted extensive patrols of the area and called in a police dog to help in the search. However, a suspect has not been identified. A still photo of the suspect was obtained from surveillance cameras at the store.

Police said the suspect is described as a white male in his late 30s, medium height, heavy build, with dark hair and a receding hairline. He was wearing a black 'puffy' jacket, sweat pants with stripes down the legs, and covered the lower part of his face with a white bandana.

Annapolis District RCMP is investigating the incident and is asking anyone with information about this incident to call them at 902 665 4481.
