WEYMOUTH - Firefighters are at the scene of a fire in Weymouth that destroyed two buildings and damaged a couple others.
There were no reports of injuries.
The fire occurred across from the Goodwin Hotel.
At least nine fire departments reportedly responded to the blaze, which was called in around 4:20 a.m.
Digby firefighter Jonathan Riley had this to say about the blaze. "The road was on fire, sparks were flying overhead, siding melted off the Goodwin (Hotel), the red building was off-gassing and starting to burn. Took some work but we keep it from spreading."
Traffic was being diverted in the area Wednesday morning.
