KENTVILLE – Two people must answer to drug-related charges following police searches executed in Kentville and Ellershouse.
A 38-year-old woman from Kentville and 60-year-old man from Ellershouse were both charged after search warrants police executed in their respective communities resulted in the discovery of cocaine and crack cocaine.
Some crack cocaine, cocaine, cash and other drug-related items were seized from the Ellershouse location.
The Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, Kentville Police Service and RCMP conducted the searches June 28, Inps. Darryl Brown of the Kentville Police Service confirmed in a media release June 29.
The individuals facing charges are expected to appear in provincial court at a later date on accusations of possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
Members of the Windsor District RCMP are also involved with the Valley Integrated SCEU’s work.
