WINDSOR, N.S. – Something is out of place at the intersection of O’Brien Street and Wentworth Road in Windsor. One of the traffic lights is laying on the sidewalk following a collision.
Cpl. Dal Hutchinson, media relations officer with the RCMP said a single vehicle collided with the traffic light around 3:55 p.m. on Sept. 10, 2017.
Hutchinson said the occupant of the vehicle was uninjured and the vehicle has been towed.
“There’s no indication that (charges will be laid),” Hutchinson said. “The call came in from the actual driver himself.”
The peculiar sight sparked the interest of passers-by as they stepped over the structure to walk down the road.
Nova Scotia Power Crews were working to disconnect electricity to the traffic light – as the walk and don’t walk lights were continuing to operate, albeit on the ground instead of facing traffic.
