Falmouth man sentenced to house arrest for assaults, unlawful confinement, other counts
WINDSOR, NS - A Falmouth man has been sentenced to a period of imprisonment in the community after pleading guilty to nine charges.
KENTVILLE, NS - A Wolfville man facing a variety of charges – including sexual assault, unlawful confinement, extortion and other counts – will be back in court tomorrow, March 15, for a bail hearing.
Tracey Donald Dodds, 60, was present in Kentville provincial court in custody on March 13. The Crown was opposed to his release.
A publication ban was ordered to protect the identity of the alleged victim and Dodds was remanded in custody until March 15 for a bail hearing. While remanded, Dodds has been ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim except through a lawyer.
Dodds is charged with assault; verbally conveying a death threat, sexual assault, unlawful confinement, extortion with intent to obtain sexual acts, intimidation for the purpose of compelling the alleged victim to perform certain sexual acts and trafficking in Dilaudid.
It’s alleged that Dodds committed the offences in Wolfville between Feb. 13 and March 7, 2017. The charges have not been proven in court.
