Port Williams firefighters responded to a structure fire early Wednesday and were able to save a Church Street building.

Deputy Chief Ryan Miller said a call came in around 12:30 a.m. Aug. 27 for a storage building on a farm property.

Mutual aid was provided by Greenwich, Kentville, New Minas and Canning firefighters, he said. Crews were able to stand down by 2:30 a.m.

According to Miller, the 718 Church St. building wasn’t destroyed.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
