Breathalyser offence

Mark Edward Lynk, 46, Port Williams, has been fined for having the care or control of a motor vehicle while his blood alcohol level exceeded the legal limit.

Lynk pleaded guilty to the charge on Aug. 20. Judge Claudine MacDonald fined Lynk a total of $1,430 and imposed a one-year driving prohibition against him.

Lynk committed the offence in Lower Sackville on June 19. The legal blood alcohol limit is 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. Lynk gave breathalyser readings of 110 and 110.

Recognizance offence

Raymond Jeffrey Brown, 30, Canaan, has been sentenced to time deemed served and fined for failing to comply with his recognizance.

Brown pleaded guilty to the charge on Aug. 20. MacDonald sentenced Brown to one day in custody deemed served and fined him a $50 victim surcharge.

Brown committed the offence in Canaan on Aug. 16.

Stole from Superstore

Elizabeth Anne Caldwell, 44, Nictaux, has been handed a suspended sentence with probation and restitution for stealing property from the Atlantic Superstore valued at less than $5,000.

Caldwell pleaded guilty to the charge on Aug. 13. MacDonald handed her a suspended sentence with 12 months of probation, including restitution of $199.17 payable through the court to the Atlantic Superstore, and fined her a $100 victim surcharge.

Caldwell committed the offence in Kingston on Oct. 28, 2013.
