Yarmouth lawyer Colin Fraser announces intention to seek Liberal nomination

Colin Fraser of Yarmouth has declared his intention to seek the nomination to represent the Liberals in West Nova in the next federal election.

The 36-year-old Yarmouth native and lawyer is a partner in the firm Nickerson Jacquard Fraser. He has extensive experience in real estate, family and criminal law, wills and estates and civil litigation, serving clients throughout western Nova Scotia.

Fraser is a director of the West Nova Liberal Association and past president of the Yarmouth Liberal Association. Some of his volunteer activities include serving as director of the Southwest Nova Transition House Association, secretary of the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation, and former vice-chair of the West Nova Inclusive Employment Society.

Fraser is fluent in both official languages and is a member of L’Association des jurists d’éxpression francaise de la Nouvelle-Écosse (NS Association of French Speaking Lawyers).

“I am determined to get things done for West Nova,” said Fraser in announcing his candidacy. “We have so much potential and with new leadership and strong representation in Ottawa I am very optimistic about our future.”

The date for a Liberal nomination meeting has not yet been set.
