A 25-year-old Kentville woman is facing several weapons offences after she allegedly threatened to shoot someone she knows with a BB gun.

Sara Raye Myles  is charged with assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace and uttering death threats.

She appeared in Halifax provincial court on Wednesday to face the charges.

Myles allegedly approached the female victim, who was with a male friend, at about 4 p.m. June 16 near Barrington Street and Spring Garden Road, starting an argument. She then removed the gun from her purse, threatened the victim and took off in a car, Halifax Regional Police say.

Myles later turned herself into police.
