Two people were arrested and charged May 7 as the Kings County street crime unit executed a drug search warrant in North Kentville.
Police seized crack cocaine, cash, cannabis and prescription pills at the site.
Freeman William Garvin Purvis and Martina Kemaria States-Purvis, both 35, were already facing charges of possession of cocaine and three kilograms of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and possession of oxycodone, all laid in North Kentville December 16, 2013.
Kentville Police added additional charges of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of less then 30 grams of marijuana and possession of oxycodone and being at large on a recognizance.
Both appeared in Kentville provincial court May 8 and the remand order was continued. They will be back in court for a bail hearing on May 12 and are scheduled to enter pleas to the 2013 charges in court on May 20.
The same day, the street crime unit arrested and charged a male for possession of prescription pills and then executed a drug search warrant in Kentville.
Police arrested and charged another male for possession for the purpose of trafficking in prescription pills. A quantity of prescription pills and cash were seized. The male was released with a court date in July 2014
On May 8, the street crime unit arrested and charged Cullen McDonald in Kentville, for possession for the purpose of trafficking in prescription pills. Police seized a quantity of pills and cash.
McDonald is currently on a conditional sentence order and was breaching his court undertaking. McDonald will be held in custody until May 12, when he is expected to enter pleas in court.
