DIGBY, N.S. – Bay Ferries Limited has announced the Saint John to Digby ferry service will be suspended for a planned work period starting January 24.
The Bay Ferries website has been announcing that reservations are not currently being accepted for travel during the period of January 24 to March 4, 2018. However, on Monday, Jan. 15, company president and CEO Mark MacDonald said the vessel may be off the run until around March 21 to 24.
The shutdown is due to regular maintenance that is scheduled every second year. Part of the work will be on the vessel’s engine control system. There will also be work done at the dock facility in Saint John.
The last sailing before the vessel is taken off the run will be departing Saint John Jan. 23 at 9 a.m. Bay Ferries says it will provide updates on its website.
