Three local men are facing a variety of charges after police searched a home near Springfield on Friday, May 9 at approximately 7 p.m.

Annapolis RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit, assisted by members from the Annapolis Detachment and the New Minas Street Crime Enforcement Unit, executed a search warrant at the residence on the Ridge Road in Falkland Ridge, Annapolis County.

Three adult males were arrested at the scene without incident.

Police dismantled a marihuana grow operation that was set up in seven different rooms of the two story residence, seizing a number of marijuana plants. Police also seized 15 assorted firearms, that included two assault-type rifles and two sawed off shot guns, plus a large cache of ammunition.

Also recovered at the scene was a stolen motorcycle dirt bike.

The three Annapolis County men were later released and are scheduled to appear in Annapolis Royal Provincial Court in July. All three are facing Controlled Drugs and Substances Act charges, plus stolen property and firearm offences.
