Avonport man arrested on multiple fraud, stolen credit card charges

The Annapolis RCMP received 77 calls between Jan. 27 and Feb. 7. Among these were: six false 911s, two false alarms, 12 traffic matters and 17 domestic disputes.

A Kings County man was arrested Feb. 6 after an investigation of a string of frauds dating back to June 2013.

Kings District RCMP General Investigation Section arrested Abraham Habash, 30, in Avonport.

He faces a number of charges, including 11 for fraud under $5,000, nine charges of theft or unauthorized use of a credit card, two charges of theft under $5,000 and possession of prescription pills.

Police say the investigation involved stolen credit card information and cheques  used to make purchases throughout the county.
