An Annapolis County man and a female youth are facing charges after a drug bust in Wilmot on Tuesday.
Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drug and Substance Act on February 18 around 5 p.m. at a Burke Drive, Wilmot, Annapolis County residence. The search was carried out after the arrest of a 21-year-old male and a 17-year-old female at a mailbox near the residence. Police seized marijuana and drug trafficking paraphernalia in the search.
The male resident of Annapolis County will face a charge of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and was released to appear in Annapolis Provincial Court on June 9. The female youth will face a charge of possession of marijuana and is to appear in Annapolis Provincial Court on June 4.
The arrests were a joint operation with Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit and Annapolis County Street Crime Enforcement Unit. Valley Street Crime Enforcement Unit is comprised of members of the Kentville Police Service, and Kings and Windsor RCMP.
