PORT WILLIAMS, NS - It was a beautiful day for a parade in “the biggest little port in the world.”
The Village of Port Williams hosted its annual Port Williams Days celebration on June 8 and 9 with a wide variety of events.
The activities got underway June 8 with the Port Williams Lions Club mock jail, a community social by the wharf and – of course – the fireworks.
Events continued June 9 with the annual Village Wide Yard Sale, a community flea market, a pantry sale and a book sale.
The community centre parking lot saw a “Tribute to Truckers” and the fire department’s chicken barbecue. The always popular children’s parade was held in the afternoon, followed by treats and activities for kids in the Port Williams Park.
A vineyard and barrel cellar tour at Planters Ridge Winery and a supper in the community centre auditorium rounded out the June 9 events.
