Celebrity guest Rhayne Thomas has signed on to help support a fundraiser benefiting the Cancer Patient Navigator Fund in Kings County.

Thomas is a vocalist, author, inspirational humourist and breast cancer survivor. She regularly tours to support organizations that back cancer research and support programs for patients.

The second annual In the Valley Breast Cancer Fundraiser organized by Wolfville-based realtor Donna Paisley, a friend of Thomas, is taking place over two evenings, in two locations.

On Sept. 15, Barrelling Tide Distillery will host an evening of food, drinks, music, an auction and 50/50 draw from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thomas and Sarah McInnis and Friends will be performing live at the event.

“Every day, every dollar we raise is to keep the ‘girls’ safe, inspire everyone to fight, and keep hugs in the hearts of the women (and men) that will benefit from donations and the work we do,” said Paisley, who works for MacKay Real Estate.

On Sept. 16, the fun will move just down the street as The Noodle Guy becomes the go-to spot for dinner, drinks, music, an auction and 50/50 draw – all for a good cause.

Tickets are $50 per person and can be bought in advance at MacKay Real Estate and The Noodle Guy.

Contact Paisley at 902-790-0070 to purchase tickets or make a donation.
