Get out your pretty hat and pay a call on the Grants, Nova Scotians.

Government House's annual lieutenant-governor's garden party is open to the public next week, June 18,  from to 5 p.m.

Lt.-Gov. J.J. Grant and Mrs. Joan Grant will host the garden party on the grounds and guests are invited to enjoy refreshments on the back lawn, weather permitting. Musical entertainment will be provided by the Bridgewater Fire Department Band and David MacFarlane.

"The lieutenant-governor's Garden Party is a fun afternoon where old friends are reunited and new friendships are formed at the ceremonial home of all Nova Scotians," said Lt.-Gov. Grant. "Mrs. Grant and I invite the public to join us for this wonderful event, everyone is welcome."

Those planning to attend the party should enter Government House through the main entrance on 1451 Barrington St. Parking is not available at Government House, but is available on surrounding streets and lots.

In case of inclement weather, only out-of-town guests will be accommodated indoors.
