From a pie contest to lobster box races across the harbour, the annual High Tide Festival will have something for everyone.
The annual event will get underway in Harbourville at 11 a.m. on Aug. 16.
Features of the Festival include: pie contest and sale; all-day barbecue; ice cream booth; scallop skewers; lobster box races across the harbour; scallop shucking contest; silent auction; corn on the cob; 50/50 draws; children’s activities; various vendors; dunk tank; and live music.
Musical entertainment includes: The Hupman Brothers, Hughie Mcdonell, Janice Sheridan, Cuckoo Moon, Ruth Manning, and Darrin & Monica Beaton.
Warden Diana Brothers will judge the pie contest, while Kings chief administrative officer Tom MacEwan will man the dunk tank.
Driving Directions: Take Exit 15 from Highway 101 and proceed north on Highway 360. Remain on Highway 360 and proceed up the North Mountain, continuing to the Harbourville wharf. Directional signage will be provided along the route and parking will be available across from 1374 Hamilton Rd.
