Valley Regional Enterprise Network has new leader

ANNAPOLIS VALLEY - The Valley Regional Enterprise Network has announced the appointment of its first chief executive officer Kelly Ells.

A Wolfville resident, Ells will start her duties on Nov. 24. She comes to the REN with senior sales, marketing and management experience. Ells has senior management experience with Annapolis Valley businesses Nova Agri Inc. (Blueberry Acres) of Centreville, ACA Cooperative of New Minas and, most recently, BioMedica Diagnostics Inc. of Windsor. She has degrees in science, education and business.

“Kelly brings to the table practical, senior-level, business experience," said board chair Peter Muttart. "We have received very impressive commendations from her business employers and colleagues and we have no doubt that she has the talent we have been seeking.

“She will play a significant role in our goal of strengthening and affirming the Valley’s position in, and contribution to, the economy of our region and province.”
