This the first year the CBDC has awarded the award to a client of the province’s 13 business development corporations. Each of the CBDCs could nominate one of their clients, and Dickinson was nominated by Digby’s Growth Opportunities/CBDC.

Dickinson, formerly of England, relocated to Nova Scotia in 2011 with her husband, Nick.

Almost a year ago, she opened a clinic with multiple services that include acupuncture and Chinese medicine, aromatherapy, massage, reflexology, Reiki, counselling, hypnotherapy and psychotherapy.

She says Digby’s Growth Opportunities provided everything from business counselling and courses, to assistance with setting up a website, purchasing equipment and a building.
