The White Point based company recently signed an agreement with the commercial park and plan to make an announcement at the end of February regarding their new business venture.

Tim Crowe, site manager for Port Mersey Commercial Park, confirmed on Jan. 20, the lease was signed and that Lloyoll planned to build modular homes in one of the warehouses at the site. Modular homes are built in factory or warehouse settings and then transported to the site of the home. They are not mobile homes.

“We just signed our agreement there (Jan. 19),” said Crowe.

Jonathan Lloy, president of Lloyoll Construction, confirmed as well but declined to comment on the new business venture, citing an announcement coming up at the end of February.

This is the second time in recent weeks there has been news of business coming to the former Bowater site. On Jan. 14, jobs advertised for R.J. MacIsaac Construction were posted for Queens County. Christopher Clarke, mayor for the Region of Queens Municipality says the company is set to salvage ships at commercial park.

Other tenants at Port Mersey include Cellufuel Inc., a biofuel facility, LightSail Energy, an energy storage project, Cooke Aquaculture, and more.
