Eco-Kings Action Team Website
The Eco-Kings Action Team is a collaborative effort of the Municipality of the County of Kings; the Towns of Berwick, Kentville and Wolfville; with the Kings Community Economic Development Agency; Valley Waste Resource Management; Eastern Kings Chamber of Commerce; and Eastern Habitat Joint Ventures.
In the past, the Team managed the local component of the One-Tonne Challenge. The member entities have continued to work on joint initiatives on climate change and environmental sustainability.
The Team and its members have held an anti-idling campaign in Kentville, adopted anti-idling policies, held an Energy Fair in Berwick, sponsored the keynote speaker at the Wolfville Eco-Fair in October 2007, who gave a presentation of “An Inconvenient Truth”, and developed a website. The Team is working now on a region-wide anti-idling day.
