“I had put in so much time and effort,” said Anthony.

His RackDri sports bag was an effort that began in Barrington with his first prototype in 2005.

Although he missed the market on the first sports bag, Anthony didn’t give up and invented an improved sports bag with the design help of Pubnico resident, Gilles Bourque.

With a son who constantly travelled through hockey, it was a design of convenience.

“This product looks like a normal hockey bag,” said Anthony.  But it can do so much more.

Its ergonomics includes many features including an original drying and storage system build around a sturdy and lightweight aluminum frame.  A popular feature in the design is construction that helps to reduce odors and mildew for the gear.

The bag also provides an integrated detachable seat cushion that is optional for when players are taking a break. It has a sleek and compact design that is appealing to stores and customers.

During his audition, when Anthony turned to walk away from the Dragons, they called him back at the last second and cut a deal, before letting the product and developer escape.

Wealthy Barber author and Dragons, David Chilton and Michael Wekerle decided to jump on board and support Anthony’s product.

Since then things have been moving fast for Anthony.

“These guys are so well connected,” said Anthony.  “Those kind of contacts really make a difference.”

His bag is available at Cleve’s stores and Anthony is finalizing a deal with Canadian Tire for 5,000 units across Canada.

“We are going to try to hit the market as hard as possible,” said Anthony.

While Chilton was hesitant to sign a deal, he has jumped in with his full support to Anthony, staying in contact on a weekly basis.

“”He’s a great sounding board and a very smart man,” said Anthony.
