With the opening of Caroline Perriman’s Wools on the Corner Saturday in Bridgetown, on the part of Queen Street that sports several like-minded shops, the location is being dubbed Craft Corner.

The quaint shop boasts a wide variety of wool yarn, some weaving, pottery, and other crafts. And from the creaky floorboards and old-timey stove, to the iron chandeliers – it drips atmosphere.

Wools on the Corner is located at 23 Queen Street and is just across the corner from The Firefly Makery, another craft and artisan Mecca that opened late last fall. On the other side of Wools on the Corner is Adaptations, another popular craft and gift store.

Saturday afternoon, traffic was steady at Wools on the Corner as the curious, well-wishers, and prospective customers dropped by to see what all the excitement was about. All were impressed and word on the sidewalk outside was about Bridgetown’s increasing vitality.

Wools on the Corner is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
