Behind the scenes of Mikado
The Basement Theatre is preparing for their production of Mikado, a Japanese love story filled with twists and turns that’s sure to make the audience laugh. It is an adaptation of Gilbert and Sullivan’s hit opera punched full of lively characters such as star-crossed lovers Nanki-Poo and Yum-Yum; Ko Ko, Lord High Executioner of Titipu and Pooh Bah, Lord high of everything else. The musical will show at the Osprey Theatre May 25, 26, 27 and June 1, 2,3. Tickets can be purchased at the Whirligig bookstore in Shelburne.
