"Walk with the Cross" symbolic of Easter's true meaning
Members of Wolfville area churches took part in the annual “Walk with the Cross” on Good Friday, April 6. Beginning at St. Francis of Assisi, Thomas Pierce was the first bearer of the cross. The procession stopped at St. John’s Anglican, L’Arche Homefires Applewicks, the Acadia Chapel, Acadia Arena (where Port Williams Baptist members congregated), Wolfville United Baptist and St. Andrew’s United where the procession ended with an ecumenical service. The walk is symbolic of the period leading to Christ’s crucifixion and resurection.
