Oakdene show offers wide variety of music

Bear River Youth Centre presented its first variety night March 3, showcasing local talent to a packed audience at Oakdene Centre. Everything from opera to jazz to bluegrass to country to rock was offered, satisfying every musical taste.

The performers were happy to lend their considerable talents to a great cause—the Bear River Youth Centre. Master of ceremonies Gerry Chute kept things lively, and Bear River artists donated door prizes. The evening was so well received by the community that the youth centre is now planning future variety shows.
