There were 106 reports made to RCMP in Kings County between Feb. 19 and Feb. 22.

Some time overnight, a shed with an alarm on Stoddart Road, East Dalhousie was broken into. A door was pried open to gain entry, but nothing appeared to be missing.

A large German Shepherd that was hit by a vehicle was seen dragging itself along Victoria Road in Millville. Animal control arrived to pick up the dog, which was brought to its home to be kept warm and safe until the owner returned home. The dog appeared to be not seriously hurt.

A 2003 red quad Honda ATV was stolen overnight from Main Street, Kingston. The call came in at 9:54 a.m.

No injuries were reported in a two-car collision in Aylesford at noon, although one of the vehicles was totaled. One of the drivers experienced whiteout conditions and rear-ended the other vehicle.

Two belts valued at $100 were stolen by a male shoplifter from a store on Commercial Street, New Minas. A suspect has been identified.

Two kids on a snowmobile and a motorbike were tearing around a subdivision on Old Farm Lane, New Minas.

Someone called to complain that they almost ran into a big tractor trailer parked in the middle of McKittrick Road, north Kentville at 8:27 p.m.

Two charges were laid during a police checkpoint on Main Street, Berwick on Feb. 20 at 9:55 a.m. Police checked 150 vehicles.

Metal was stolen from inside and outside a storage shed on Jones Road, New Minas. Police say stolen metal is an on-going problem up and down the Valley.

Hunger and thirst may have been the motive behind a recent theft from a dairy truck. Two cases of cheese and one case of chocolate milk were taken from Marina Drive, New Minas.

A young first-time snowmobile driver hit a bump, lost control and ran into a tree in Rockland. The boy’s father arrived and took him to the end of the trail to meet up with the EHS.

A purse was stolen from a vehicle parked overnight at the fire hall in Port Williams.

A caller on Bennett’s Bay Road reported a suspected counterfeit $5 bill which he got at a local drugstore. The bill was new, crunchy and had no gold strip across it.

Articles were stolen from two unlocked vehicles parked in a driveway on Lakewood Road, Centreville on Feb. 21.

Three 17-year-old girls were taken into custody in Greenwood after a shoplifting incident at a department store around 2:23 p.m.

A rock was thrown through a window in a housing unit in Aylesford.

A TV and digital camera were stolen after a break and enter at a residence at Stephen Court, North Kentville. A dead-bolted back door was broken to gain entry. The incident occurred sometime between 8:15 a.m. and 2 p.m.

A homemade, decorative sled was stolen from a porch on Stead Street in north Kentville. The crime was reported at 3:24 p.m.

A male observed attempting to steal seafood from a grocery store on Commercial Street, New Minas, was chased out into the parking lot by employees. The seafood was recovered.

A wallet containing cash, credit cards and a birth certificate was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in Centreville.

Someone stole a grapple – machinery used to move logs – from North River Road, Aylesford Lake.

Two males tried to sell cartons of cigarettes to an employee of a convenience store on Aylesford Road. The suspects were told to leave.

A suspicious 50-year-old male seen hanging around Kingstec campus in Kentville was told to leave but wouldn’t. Police arrived and drove him home.

A two-car collision on Commercial Street, New Minas, at 8:56 a.m. caused extensive damage to the vehicles. A ticket was issued to the owner of one. No injuries were reported.

No suspects have been identified in a case involving eggs, cookies and snowballs being thrown over a period of time at residence around Mary Avenue in Centreville.

Irrigation pipes were stolen in South Berwick.

A dog in middle of the 101 Highway in Berwick east of Exit 15 was causing a traffic hazard.

Stainless steel materials were stolen from a business at Minas Warehouse Road, New Minas. An employee, who wrote down the license plate number of an older green Ford, witnessed people taking metal from the yard.

A suspicious, intoxicated male in his 40s or 50s was knocking on doors at Commodore Court, New Minas, around 6:01 p.m. telling people he was looking for a friend. By the time police arrived he had left.

A large, dark-coloured, one-ton truck hit another vehicle then left the scene at Main Street, Kingston, at around 8:07 p.m. Damage was done to a rear quarter panel but no injuries to people were reported.

There were nine false 911 calls; three mental health calls; eight false business alarms; six false residential alarms; and three domestic calls.
