Fraud suspected at Bridgetown ATM

An investigation continues after a Bridgetown bank reports a case of possible fraud. Three individuals, with their faces covered, attempted to defraud the bank through an ATM machine. No money was lost during the incident.
RCMP responded to total of 70 calls, from 1 p.m. on February 12, until 1 p.m. on February 19. There were five 911 calls; 15 false alarms; nine traffic matters; and eight domestic situations. Following are highlights of the calls.
--Feb. 12 at 1:20 p.m., Police are called to Lequille to assist with a matter between a girlfriend and boyfriend.
--Feb. 12 at 2:03 p.m., Police are called to Middleton to investigate a complaint of sexual assault. The investigation continues.
--Feb. 12 at 3:14 p.m., Police are called to a Springfield residence to investigate a break and enter. Money was stolen from the home.
--Feb. 12 at 4:45 p.m. a Deep Brook resident reports hearing shots fired. A patrol was made, but was unable to locate the source of the shots.
--Feb. 12 at 10:50 p.m. The Department of Transportation contacts police about two cars that were parked in the Torbrook area that were obstructing snow removal.
--Feb. 12 at 1:45 p.m. Cornwallis. Police stop a vehicle and charge driver with driving without insurance and with a suspended drivers license.
--Feb. 13 at 10 a.m. Police are called to Soldier’s Memorial Hospital to deal with a patient who had become out of control. A 22 year-old Halifax man was arrested for causing a disturbance and was transported to cells. He was released on an undertaking for a scheduled court appearance on March 5.
--Feb. 13 at 2:27 p.m. Police assist Adult Protection Services to locate a client. The person was found and is safe.
--Feb. 13 at 4:43 p.m. Police are called to a Middleton residence in regards to a domestic matter. A male was later arrested and charged with uttering threats.
--Feb. 13 at 6:08 p.m. A Middleton resident requests police assistance in a child custody matter.
--Feb. 13 at 3:45 p.m. A Bridgetown resident reports seeing a driver run a stop sign.
--Feb. 14 at 11 a.m. A Deep Brook resident reports receiving a death threat over the internet.
--Feb. 14 at 3:30 p.m. A Bridgetown bank reports a possible fraud attempt. Three individuals had attempted to defraud the bank through the ATM machine. No money was taken and the matter is under investigation.
--Feb. 14 at 4:24 p.m. Police are called to a single vehicle accident at Highway 1 in Clementsport. The car went off the road and damaged a mailbox. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed.
--Feb. 14 at 4:36 p.m. Police are called to South Williamston to help neighbours settle a boundary dispute.
--Feb. 14 at 5:23 p.m. A Nictaux resident called concerned about the whereabouts of a family member. The person was found safe.
--Feb. 14 at 6:56 p.m. Police are called to a single vehicle accident on Highway 1 in Paradise. The vehicle slid off the road and was hauled from the ditch. No injuries were reported.
--Feb. 14 at 8:43 p.m. A Lequille resident reports that tires had been removed from his vehicle. Police assisted in putting wheels back on; no other damage was found.
--Feb. 14 at 10:38 p.m. until 2:07 a.m. Feb. 15, police respond to 8 false alarms between Wilmot and Middleton. The weather conditions caused several alarm systems to malfunction.
--Feb. 15 at 00:50 a.m. A Bridgetown resident reports a possible break and enter after hearing noises. A patrol was made and officers determined the cause of the noise to be a broken piece of lattice banging against the house.
--Feb. 15 at 7:22 a.m. A Granville Ferry resident reports seeing two youth driving a neighbour’s pick-up truck that had been stolen. Two youth are facing charges related to possible theft and driving offences.
--Feb. 15 at 12:33 a.m. Cleaners at a Middleton business report seeing a man acting suspiciously outside in the parking lot. The suspect saw the crew and left without incident.
--Feb. 15 at 1:11 p.m. Police are called to Wilmot, assisted by members of Adult protection Services to assist an individual. The person was later arrested for break and enter and held in custody. The individual appeared in Digby court on Feb. 19 and was remanded in custody for a 30 day psychiatric assessment.
--Feb. 15 at 1:52 p.m. A Wilmot resident reports seeing a driver acting suspiciously.
--Feb. 15 at 2:37 p.m. A Wilmot resident calls police after seeing three youth on Highway 1. Two of the youth were driving bicycles, and the third was on foot. Poor weather conditions made the situation hazardous, so a patrol was sent to deal with the matter.
--Feb. 15 at 4:14 p.m. Police are called to Meadowvale to help settle a dispute over ownership of a vehicle.
--Feb. 15 at 5:15 p.m. A South Williamston resident reports concerns about a neighbour.
--Feb. 16 at 1:16 p.m. Police were called to bear River to investigate a case of possible fraud.
--Feb. 16 at 9:51 p.m. A Lequille resident reported seeing a possible impaired driver. A patrol was made in the area, but did not locate the driver.
--Feb. 17 at 5:38 a.m. A Springfield resident reports receiving harassing phone calls.
--Feb. 17 at 8:42 a.m. Police respond to a request from Halifax Regional for assistance in locating a person in the Lawrencetown area.
--Feb. 17 at 10:17 a.m. A Nictaux resident reports receiving a suspicious fax that requested bank information.
--Feb. 17 at 6:39 p.m. Police are called to a single vehicle accident in Middleton. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed.
--Feb. 17 at 10:08 p.m. A Middleton resident reports a disturbance within an apartment building. The individuals were located at another address and the dispute was resolved.
--Feb. 17 at 11:48 p.m. A Meadowvale resident requests assistance in quelling a disturbance. Police attended and calm restored.
--Feb. 18 at 11:01 a.m. A New Albany resident requests assistance in settling an argument over property. The property was returned.
--Feb. 18 at 12:41 p.m. Middleton police are called to a home after a resident reports seeing individuals with guns. Police attended and found two youth playing war games with realistic looking cap guns.
--Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. A Nictaux resident reports a complaint of threats involving family members.
--Feb. 19 at 11:14 a.m. Police attend a two-vehicle accident, assisted by EHS personnel and volunteer fire fighters. One driver was transported to Soldiers Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Poor weather conditions are believed to be a factor in the accident.
