Bank window broken by vandals
It may not be an “unsolved mysteries” case but the Bank of Montreal is probably wondering what happened last Saturday night.
Staff Sergeant Bruno Deveau with the Queens RCMP says, on the morning of Feb. 4 it was reported that the outside window of the bank had been smashed.
He says it happened the night of Feb. 3 or the early hours of Feb. 4.
It could of happened while the bars in the area were closing or when someone tried to use the ATM machine, Deveau explained, but the RCMP do not have any answers at this point.
There is no indication that it was someone trying to break into the bank, he added.
Although the glass was shattered it stayed intact until the following morning and then fell out.
Queens RCMP is asking anyone with information to call 354-5721 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
