County councillors support "Raising the Roof"

Kings County councillors, including Wayne Atwater, Warden Fred Whalen, Madonna Spinazola, Barry Peterson, Chris Parker, John Fuller, Eric Smith, Diana Brothers, Janet Newton and Ted Palmer, helped support the national homelessness charity “Raising the Roof” at the February council session by donning toques for “Toque Tuesday”. Whalen, who helped promote the initiative as a member of the Atlantic Mayors Congress, said they were able to sell more than 50 toques at $10 each for the good cause as of Tuesday evening, Feb. 6.
