He has been found fit to be sentenced and will be back in court for that purpose early next month.
Herbert Howard MacDonald, 33, was found fit in Kentville provincial court Monday, Jan. 15 to be sentenced for offenses that culminated in the crash involving several vehicles in Kentville Aug. 31. The court had found him guilty of the charges Dec. 7.
Judge Alan Tufts ordered MacDonald to return to court Feb. 2, as previously scheduled, for sentencing on convictions of dangerous driving resulting in bodily harm and of, in order to escape civil or criminal liability, failing to stop and identify himself at the scene of an accident in which he was involved. The accused is remanded in due course until then.
The court had ordered a sentencing fitness assessment on MacDonald Jan. 5.
