Nathan Kaulback won a raffle at Berwick school recently among Grade 7 students interested in an extracurricular civics lesson: the prize - mayor for a day. Kaulback opened the Berwick council session December 12 with all the official regalia and approvals, with traditionally-elected Mayor John Prall at his right hand. One of the first orders of business was reading council’s accolades, including one for fellow schoolmates, represented by Mary Belliveau and Matthew Margeson, who worked as a team to raise $1,084.16 in Christmas cash, food and presents for a local family: a mom and three children.
