Police are in “a heavy investigation mode into the murder of Leslie Ann Conrad, 45, and they will stay that way until charges are laid or convictions rendered. No one has been charged in connection with the investigation.
Conrad went missing Oct. 5. A hunter found her partially decomposed remains Nov. 22 under some debris on a property in the Robinson Corner area off Melanson Road several kilometers from her Lower Wolfville home. The property belongs to a relative of the victim’s husband.
The remains were positively identified as Conrad’s Nov. 24.
RCMP Staff Sgt. Rick Daley said Friday, Dec. 1, “we’re in a heavy investigation mode and will stay that way.
He noted, “at this point, we’re waiting for all the lab testing to come back.
Daley pointed out that in a murder case, the investigation always continues. “They are never concluded until there are charges laid or a conviction in court.
Daley encouraged anyone with any information about the case to get in touch with police or CrimeStoppers. “We’re always looking for information. We’re always looking for clues.
The missing person’s case for Conrad included a thorough search of her home and property.
