YJH principal gives his students half a reward by shaving half his head
Yarmouth Junior High recently held a fundraiser in which the school’s goal had been to have students raise $2,640 through pledges.

The fundraiser was to raise money to use for sports teams and extracurricular events at the school, as well as day-to-day operations.

As an added incentive to raise the money, principal Don Berry said he would shave his head or dye his hair. When the fundraiser was complete the school had only achieved half of its goal, but because Berry did not want to let that half of their efforts go unrewarded, he shaved the hair off of one side of his head during a student assembly on Thursday, Oct. 9.
