Middleton Farmers' Market
October 10 Market held every Friday from 2 to 6 PM on Commercial St in Middleton (across from Town Hall). Produce, meats, breads, goodies, crafts - all from the Valley. Musical entertainment. Support Local.
Retirement Party
October 10 The Annapolis Valley Exhibition is holding a retirement party for manager, John Longley on October 10 at the Lawrencetown Fire Hall. Social 6 p.m., Potluck Supper 7 p.m. and Dance 9 p.m. (The evening is casual and over 19.)
Flea Market
October 11 Flea Market at the Annapolis Royal Masonic Lodge, 8 a.m. to 12, noon. Proceeds for the building fund.
Harvest contest
October 11 At the Annapolis Royal Farmers' Market with cash prizes for the oddest vegetable to be awarded at 11 am. This will be the last market for the season.
Sale & auction
October 11 Fall Harvest Bake Sale and Auction at the Inglisville Community Hall from 7 to 9 p.m., includes bake, harvest and other auction items. Proceeds for Helping Hands Ladies Group.
Bridgetown Market

MRHS reunion

Health Centre Fundraiser
October 16 A fundraiser for the Annapolis Community Health Centre will be held , Thursday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Forester's Hall in Clementsvale. Please bring baked goods, harvest items, and new crafts for an auction.
This event happens in place of door-to-door canvassing for the area and is organized by the Clementsvale United Baptist Church.
Baptist Fun Event
October 17 Paradise Baptist Family Fun Event: Costumes & Crokinole. Join us from 7 to 9 p.m. in the church vestry (10280 Hwy. 1). Costume prizes and a crokinole tournament. October 20 to 26 Bill Knowlton will be walking to Halifax to raise awareness of poverty. Come out and walk a distance with him, encourage him along the way, and sign one of the post cards he will be delivering to the Premier that demands a budget line specifically for poverty reduction.
